Portrait of decoydecoy
decoydecoy is a indie-punk rock trio hailing from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Since it's uncertain conception in the fall of 2008 and a few bumps along the way (a couple line up changes) decoydecoy has definitely found their footing.

In the fall of 2008, decoydecoy was nothing more than two musicians locked in a cold Calgary basement fiddling around with a synthesizer and a bass effects pedal. In the early spring of 2009 founding member Stephanie Noel (guitars, vocals) was finally introduced to what the group was missing.

Drummer Scott Sears was perfect in molding the sound of the bands first recorded release, the demodemo. The three song EP captures the groups evolution from an uncertain synth-pop project to a solid punk rock band in every sense. A couple bassists came and went but in the end, Noel's good friend, Jesse Destruct happily completed the outfit.

With a full length album and tons of shows under their belts, including opening for acts such as illscarlett and The Misfits, decoydecoy has only just begun...
