Michelle De, who was an entertainment manager for several artists when her career was jump started after Ace Reign, an international Hip Hop/Rap artist, discovered a poem written by Michelle De on her social media page. Ace saw something in Michelle De’s writing ability that she had not yet discovered about herself. Seeing her talent, Ace was determined to convince Michelle De to convert her poems into music. After about six months of unfruitful efforts, Michelle De finally agreed after Ace dared her. When Michelle De decided to take on Ace’s dare, Ace placed one stipulation on Michelle De. Michelle De had to publish and publicly release the music she created. Initially, intimidated by this requirement, Michelle De reneged on the agreement, but Ace’s dare got the best of her. So, she agreed to Ace’s challenge and stipulation.

Michelle De wrote and released her first song called Lost, produced by Gino Brown. Taken aback by the public response to her first release, she wrote a follow-up song called Every Time I Weep, produced by Lacy B. It blew her mind how fans were responding to this single across her social media platforms. It was at this point, she needed to know if this was for real and just flop. For she knew when she wrote her first song, she did so just to prove she could not do it. Surprised by the response she received, she wrote her second song out of pure curiosity. But now, she wanted to know, what would be the results if she wrote a track out of pure passion and drive to make a good song. So, she wrote her third song, titled Don’t Know How To Love, which depicted her true experience in life. Her struggles with committing her whole self into any relationship. She partnered with Nashville Song Service to co-write and produce the single. Upon completion of the track, she decided she was going to go all out with this song and develop a strategic plan that would enable her to reach an international audience to see what kind of response she will get.
