K.ESS is a Melbourne singer and songwriter with a fresh and quirky Pop/R&B sound. She is a versatile and talented vocalist who blends her raw soulful tones with a touch of her urban swagger.
Although based in Melbourne, K.ESS is available for shows and events Australia-wide (no matter how small or large) and performs with an acoustic guitarist or keyboardist depending on your requirements. She also offers both acoustic duo/trio sets and a full band show where she performs all the R&B classics and the hottest R&B/Pop covers.
Early on, K.ESS (previously known as Kim Saini), developed a passion for music and gravitated toward the sounds of Mariah Carey, Alicia Keys and Beyoncé. Her true, eye-opening moment came when she was a teenager and discovered the sounds of Sam Cooke, Etta James, Patsy Cline and Al Green.
By the time she was 22, K.ESS’s debut single "Supergirl", received airplay on national radio and continues to stream on Spotify and Online Radio Airplay Avenues. In 2013, K.ESS released her debut EP titled "Dear Diary (prelude)" which was an open book to her personal life experiences. The material was honest and extremely relatable, which landed her an international recording deal with 50/50 Global Muzik Inc and music publishing with BMG.
In 2015, K.ESS parted ways with her management and record label to gain full control of her artistry. Since then, K.ESS has worked relentless in developing her own sound and style and has truly enjoyed her artistic journey into 2018.
Being bi-racial, K.ESS is outspoken about diversity and is a proud human rights advocate promoting equality for all. She also supports organisations such as Bully Zero Australia Foundation and aims to bring awareness to the social issues, which affects all of us.
With her zest for life and creativity, K.ESS is destined to become the next global music sensation.
