Recording artist, accomplished musician, and aspiring actor, Kelvin Gomez ismaking himself known in the music world. Born and raised in Perth Amboy, NJ,he started his singing at the age of 7 in his local church choir and pursuedmusic as a hobby thereafter. At the age of 10, he picked up his firstinstrument: the trombone. It became a matter of months before he nearlymastered the instrument. After a few years of study, Kelvin was acceptedinto Count Basie Theater's student program, giving him the opportunity tostudy and perform with jazz trombonist and Grammy nominee, Pete McGuinness.In high school, he continued his trombone studies and added on to his plate,joining the performing arts including Theatre, Chorus, as well as dance,otherwise known as the "Triple Threat." Immediately falling in love withmusical theatre, Kelvin began starring at his school's musical productions,meanwhile attending vocal competitions winning numerous awards includingBest Male Vocalist and Outstanding Superior-Grade Vocalist. He is currentlypart of a new upcoming Bachata group "D'Votion.”
Kelvin Abreu, Latin Singer-Songwriter-Musician, has been interested in musicall his life. As a child Kelvin would watch his grandfather practice theTambora, a well known Latin percussion instrument. At age 9, Kelvin and hisbest friend would practice the Tambora and Guira for hours after school,practicing different songs and rhythms. It wasn't till the age of 11 when hestarted to take interest in the guitar. By age 14, he joined his firstband, (Henry Jimenez, El GQ de la Batchta) he and a friend (Eunel Torresfrom Nueva era) would take turns playing lead guitar and singing backgroundvocals. From then on, he performed with many local bands, and he alsoperformed with a church band. Soon after, he picked up the Bass guitar. Astime went on, he was given the opportunity to be the official Bass Guitarplayer for (Premio Lo Nuestro, and Billboard Latino Nominee) Nueva Era. Hehas also performed with (Latin Billboard award winner and former member ofAventura) Toby Love, (Latin Grammy nominee) Andy Andy, Voz a Voz and manymore. All those years of experience have given him the opportunity to writehis own songs and create musical arrangements, leading him to meet and workwith exceptional producers, such as Scarlito Entertainment´s superproducers, “SP” (who has produced hits for Notch, Xtreme, Abe Quintanillaand Toby Love, among others), and Eddie Perez (who has produced for TobyLove, Lumidee, Pitbull, Alexis Y Fido, Rakim Y Ken-Y, Busta Rhymes, Fabulousand many more).
Junior Morell was born to Dominican parents. Junior always liked music sincethe early age of 5 and it was than that his godfather had bought him aguitar. Although he had a guitar, he never paid to much mind to it, as hewas into Hip-Hop, R&B, and Rap. It wasn’t until Junior met his best friend,Angel De La Cruz, that he became interested in Bachata and Merengue. At theage of 17, Junior picked up the bass as his first instrument and along withhis friend Angel, playing the guitar, they used to practice everyday. As theyears went by, Junior eventually moved on to the guitar and started learninghow to play. In 2006, Junior started playing second guitar, or rhythmguitar, for his first group called X-suberacion. Most recently, Juniorstarted playing along side friend and mentor Kelvin Abreu and his groupL’Amour. There, Junior gained the experience he needed to accept the offerfrom friend Ariel J Nunez to become a member of D’votion.
