This girl has “it”. That is the comment you hear the most when Jessica takes the stage. When one of the former Presidents of the Country Music Association attended her show, he suggested Jessica “get ready to live on a tour bus”. From that point forward her heart and soul was put into writing and performing.
Jessica’s music is southern, soulful, country-rock where listeners easily find a favorite tune. If Steven Tyler and Dolly Parton had a love child, it would be Jessica Cayne, rocking like Aerosmith with the honesty and grace of Dolly in her lyrics.
Her fan base is wide spread made up of weekend warriors from the college crowd ready to “Pour Some Whiskey on It” (one of her anthems to her college friends) and acoustic listeners that want to know more about where the song came from because they are touched by her lyrics. She is as comfortable in an intimate, listening room environment as she is an arena of 30,000.
With a performance style that is unexpected from the first note, Jessica’s guitar-based writing drives her stage presence and her tunes, setting up some rowdy country line dancin’ for some of her fans and slow struttin’ two-step for others. When the music stops and the harmonies start on “California Boy” you will want to join in and sing the second chorus.
Jessica’s EP, “A Little Bit of Me” is a disc of her older tunes she sells on-line and at all of her shows. Her first full length CD will be released in 2010 that will include 10 songs written by Jessica. She currently is finishing up tunes for her next CD (writing with some of Nashville’s hottest writers) that will go into production towards the end of 2010.
