Jerry Leach is a registered songwriter with BMI, born and raised in East Tennessee, now living in Florida.

"I received my first drum set on my sixth birthday, a gift from my grandmother who grew tired of me dragging out her kitchen pots, pans, wooden spoons, and anything else I thought would make a cool noise. Growing up, I pretty much liked all musical styles and over the years, I played drums for various bands . . . some serious, some just for fun. I had been interested in songwriting since I was a teenager. However, since drums were my main instrument, I found it hard to write and express my ideas. But then one day I saw Don Henley of the Eagles come out from behind his drums, strap on a guitar and perform. That’s when I realized I needed to learn the guitar, if I was to continue with my goals as a Songwriter. So, for the past five years or so, my focus has been on songwriting and playing guitar. I have a Catalog of songs started now and have had the opportunity to co-write with more experienced writers in and out of Nashville. My current ongoing project is writing songs for my first CD release, but I’m in no hurry."
