WILL HIRSCH (Drums, Backing Vocals), a native New Yorker, studied with the late drum guru Gary Chester, (the most prolific studio drummer on the East coast during the 60's and 70's). Gary taught some of the great drummers of today, including Dave Weckl, Danny Gottlieb, Max Weinberg and Kenny Aronoff. He had a profound inspiration on Will as well as helping guide the young drummer’s life and career in the early years. Will left home at 18 and moved to Paris, France where he toured Europe and recorded with several indie bands, becoming a regular at the yearly Fete de la Musique, and even playing for US Army and NATO troops in war-torn Bosnia and Kosovo. Eventually, he relocated to sunny Southern California and has hit the stage of all the major venues since his arrival. Will is even a founding member of former Nine Inch Nail’s lead guitarist Ralf Dietel’s LA band “Krash Karma” one of Music Connection Magazines "Best Unsigned Bands of 2008".
Together, their profound passion, emotion, songwriting skills and heartfelt lyrics are the binding force that holds this band together and intensely drives them through every live performance.
Though a relatively young band, Twist of Fate has already headlined at the following Southern California venues: The Roxy, The Key Club, The Viper Room, The Knitting Factory, The Derby, The Galaxy Theater, The Clubhouse, The Joint, 14 Below, and Hogue Barmichaels to name a few.
