Kalaj Dame (pronounced “Collage Dāme”).
(Reginald Sims Jr) Born August 18, 1981 in Pittsburgh, PA
With years of experience under his belt, Kalaj has set out to establish himself as an outstanding force in the entertainment industry. Some of his most notable experiences range from being an in-house producer for Scooter Braun (School Boy Records) and learning vocal production techniques directly from the legendary Jazz/Pop singer, Jean Carne in 2003, to writing and producing for Devyne Stephens (Upfront Entertainment) in 2004. (Devyne’s studio album was later cancelled prior to its scheduled release).
While maintaining a brilliant assortment of witty punch lines and thought provoking wordplay, Kalaj or “Dame” as he prefers to be called is sure to be a crowd pleaser and generate much success as a rapper in the music industry. He also manages to add a somewhat apathetic comedic factor to most of his songs which all pan out to great entertainment. Overall this artist makes great sounding music with concepts that many will find easy to appreciate.
With Kalaj’s January 2010 release of his mixtape “Piracy”, Dame’s outstanding music production and lyrical ability managed to impress the Pittsburgh legend Sam Sneed (formerly of Death Row Records). Now currently being managed by Sam Sneed, Kalaj Dame is focused on claiming his throne amongst the greatest talents in the world.
His current MySpace song play count has reach numbers in excess of one million and he has close to 400,000 YouTube video plays. This rapper/producer from Pittsburgh, PA definitely has the potential to fiercely engrave his name in the pavement amongst hip hop music lovers.
