Caroline Brooks Music

Hello, people. I was born and raised in Tyler, Texas, and fell in love with singing and playing the piano when I was about 7. My dad will deny it, but I think his unhealthy obsession with Neil Diamond led him to name me Caroline. I believe the first song I wrote was about how much I loved my cat, Skittles. I attended the University of Texas in Austin in '04 and have been collaborating with other musicians, producers, and songwriters since then... which has not only helped me grow as a singer/musician, but as a person. I grew up on Paul Simon and James Taylor, and am more recently influenced by artists like Ingrid Michaelson, John Mayer, Colbie Caillat, Patty Griffin, She & Him, and Adele. I write songs that are inspired by love (or something like it) and interesting conversations. After playing shows for a couple years, my EP is finally ready to be released on iTunes on July 6.
