Biography A self proclaimed gothic horror swing rock band, ChaCha & the Monsters have been doing their part in carving out a strange legacy of music in their zombie-filled, melodic, and post-apocalyptically dressed world.Beginning a few years ago with an odd meeting place and a declaration of "I can sing!" by ChaCha, the band- the brainchild of guitarist Conley Jones- started its evolution from a drunken-punk dipped amoeba into the full-sized bizarre hybrid of 50's melodies, rock aggression and classic horror/sci-fi film inspiration.Whilst playing in another more punk-slathered band in need of a replacement guitarist, ChaCha and Conley came across a talented metal guitarist named Adrian Stacy, and with the punk-style band's untimely demise, the founders of CC&tMdecided they weren't letting Adrian go anywhere.A wise decision for more than one reason, CC&tM's association with Adrian led them to a Friday night-based small private club for local roughnecks and friends of a local photography studio. There they met rock/funk-influenced bassist, Ryan Cottrill, and through Ryan's contacts, the band was subsequently auditioned and joined by drummer extraordinaire, SEV.Inspired by the macabre and all things morbidly fun, the band was started as a cure to angst-ridden boredom. The first album,"Sugar and Spice", was recorded in a room in the upstairs of Conley and ChaCha's old Victorian style home by Conley himself- an experienced musician in his own right well before the birth of the Monsters. The entire first album was originally written - both musically and lyrically- by Conley and ChaCha, though each musician came in when tracking the album and re-wrote their individual parts to include their own unique styles. The possible exception would be the bonus track which was reportedly written exclusively by ChaCha but has yet to be recorded."Sugar and Spice" is due to make it's debut in or around early February 2013.
