BIO
Charlotte, NC PRODUCER | RAP ARTIST | ENGINEER | GRAPHIC DESIGNER
Born in Charlotte, NC "Queen City" 02/01/1989, Daroo has created a name for himself as one of the top producers in the Charlotte.
Daroo was introduced to music in GA.
-Daroo Explains his origin with music-
"It was just another day in Stone Mountain, GA |Summer of 2003|. You know, just being 6th grade kids playing and hanging out.
My friends and I met at another friends house that I had never met before. When we knocked on the door we could hear music bumping. A boy our age opened the door and said "Yo ya'll wanna listen to my new beat?" I had no idea what he was talking about. He showed me the program Fruity Loops (FL Studios). I was immediately drawn to it. It was amazing to me that you could actually create music yourself on a computer. I never cared or really even thought of how music was made. We would just enjoy it.
I searched everywhere online for the program but I couldn't remember the name. After months of on and off searching and moving back to Charlotte,
I came across Fruity Loops 2.56. demo. Yes I remember the exact version. I was stuck to that computer. Ohh yea, and that computer was in my moms room. She use to tell me to go to sleep and I would just end up turning the volume real low and stay up all night. A few times till the next day. I didn't even want to eat, sleep or play outside. I vividly remember my mom waking up fusing telling me it's late and to cut the computer off to save power. I would just turn the screen off. You couldn't save projects in demos at that time. Sorry Mom.
Music became my first love before I knew what the feeling was. It would make my day and pull me away from the everyday struggles I had.
It was a drug and I was getting high everyday. I had no intent of making it big. Music was my private release. I even felt my first heart break with music when my mom shut down the computer and lost my project. I'm not exaggerating, I cried. It was my passion and it meant that much to me.
Lets fast foward some years -------->

9th Grade year I thought the more speakers I had the better. Holding my first professional condenser mic (MXL) I didn't know I needed Fantom Power to use it. ![]()

Hidden Forest Dr. | Hidden Valley | N. Tryon area
Moved my Studio to Garage. That year my pops got me and my brother a keyboard and some quality speakers. It meant so much to me. ![]()

My girlfriends mom took me in. I wasted no time setting up my studio equipment and continuing my craft. ![]()
Over time I wanted to take my creations to another level. I wanted to record. I figured that it had to be a program for it. I came across Acid Pro. I used this software until I was at the radio station and saw Tony Romeo [ Radio Personality ] use another program called Cool Edit 2.0. I was volenteering for promotional events with Archie Carter at the time for 92.7. With my mother [Renee Robinson] being radio personality for Praise 100.9 I was able to get my foot in the door.
Of course me being me I found the program for myself and Later upgraded to Using Adobe Audition [The new Cool Edit by Adobe].
I began to notice that real studios had hardware so I pursued getting my own. I got my first Multi-Track Recorder [ Taskam DP01 FX ] by selling candy, bootleg cd's and shoes in school from the American Pawn on Freedom. It took me 2 months to pay for. I printed the manual online so I would know how to use it before I got it. I was building my studio up. My highschool brother Qua AKA [ Sayso Quaevo] (Rapper | Producer) was with me when we stole doors from abanded houses to create a vocal booth. His mother, Yamico AKA [So Fatal] (Rapper) took me in as her own. Me and Qua stayed up days and nights working on music. I upgraded equipment overtime to the [Roland VS1680] after seeing Chris Key [ professional drummer | Making His Band ] and Meeche [pro Musition] using a [Roland VS2480]
I moved back to Atlanta, GA to pursue a real career in music. I wasted no time. I went to work. Everybody in the hood new where to come if they wanted to record. I became known in Claton County, GA as the beat man. My studio was at its prime as far as looks. This is when I began to develop my own style. With my father Reginald AKA [DJ Boom] by my side I was encouraged to explore different types of genres. I'd like to thank my pops for allowing me to throw parties every weekend. I had the most fun there. Me and my father hustle together until it came to an end. I then moved back to Charlotte, NC a new man.
I showed so many people that they could do this music on there own and created several producers | artist. More time passed and I was still moving strong from promoting on Myspace.com to tools like Saynow.com and Ourstage.com. My father Introduced me to Pro Tools. He explained to me that this was the new industry standard for recording. I was skeptical. Pro Tools overtime became my home base for my creations and I have been using it ever since.
