His 2019 release ‘All Island’ drops in the UK under Right Recording May 30, 2019 Kirton originals including ‘Green Camouflage’, Ride on Natty’ and Cool Breezin’ bring a solid, authentic set that creates an upbeat, rhythm filled Caribbean party. Kirton is no stranger to music, he debuted with a Midem Cannes showcase at the Palais on World Beat night.
Canadian National Campus Review wrote 'Kirton has busted out of the box blending elements of reggae, soul, rock and pop into a contemporary yet natural sound, which he then delivers with his exotically smooth, soul dipped voice’.
Kirton has been a quiet storm over the past decade building a solid catalogue while staying true to his mission of developing his own unique sound embodying the best of the old reggae rhythms with the guitar driven songs he writes. Kirton says “It was Roots reggae that captured my senses rather than Dancehall. My progression as an artist came because I was more relaxed, didn’t try to fit into a trendy box, just let my songs flow and represent what I felt inside when I sat down to write them. I feel very comfortable making music my own way, rather than trying to fit in anyone’s boots. I love having the freedom to touch people and find success following my own vision.”
College Campus Reviews wrote “Kirton has written songs with intelligent and grabbing lyrics that listeners can relate to on many levels. He then wraps them in some serious booty-shakin’ rhythms, and a shimmy of urban flavor that would be at home in any dance club.”
