Saunders is an r&b/jazz recording artist from Chesapeake, VA, known for his strong vocals and energetic performances.  Raised in a musical household D. has always been involved in music as a singer/songwriter and musician as well.  Strong songs that people look forward to hearing is what D. Saunders strives to bring his listeners. "I feel that the strength in songs suffered as the video age emerged” says D. He considers himself an old school singer with a new school style. D. Saunders released his album “The New Old School” in 2014 and has had multiple tracks land on the top 10 most requested song charts along the Gulf Coast.   D. is constantly performing at music festivals, nonprofit events, casinos, restaurants, parties and other live music venues.  He performs with his own band complete with a horn section to give fans the ultimate show. D has won numerous awards for his vocal abilities and receive rave reviews each time he takes the stage.  What sets him apart from other recording artist is his unique ability to capture an audience undivided attention and involve them in his shows.  He also is known for creating songs on the spot while performing based on the vibe he feels from his audience.  D has opened up for artist such as Gerald Levert, Lyfe Jennings, Jodeci and Glenn Jones just to name a few.  While in the military this Air Force Veteran was able to travel the world performing not only across the U.S. but also in The Phillipines, Japan, and Guam. Some of D. Saunders musical influences include Stevie Wonder and Philippe Wynne.  He is currently in the studio working on new music as well as producing other artist.  His goal is to continue to work with new artist as well as with musical legends as a songwriter/producer and have his songs hit billboard charts and platinum status.
