English From the ashes of a supernova and from its power emerged the inspiration necessary to the result of the Arvania project, the dream to conquer the infinite, to seize the meaning of it and to capture the essence of its understanding.Arvania is a star, a symbol of mysteries and incomprehension. Through the ages, the stars fascinated mankind: whereas the constellations represented the Gods in the Antiquity, they represented visions of the future for the others, bliss or misfortunes. The stars are in fact much more than one mass floating in the intersidereal vacuum, they are a symbol of beauty, dreams, but also of utopia, unattainable ideal. It would seem that each man belongs to a star. Humanity was born from the dust of deceased stars. Arvania is thus the name which indicates the advance of the universe through the river of time, from birth, to death... and even beyond. Arvania is a melodic progressive power metal band from Rimouski (Quebec), which is influenced by bands such as Angra, Symphony X, Sonata Arctica and many others. The band members are Jean-Philippe Tessier (Drums), Maxime Doiron (Keyboards), Jean-Simon Otis (Guitar), Martin Denis (Guitar), Pierre-Luc Pelletier (bass) and Marilyn Dubé (Vocal). Arvania est une étoile, un astre, symbole de mystères et d'incompréhension. À travers les âges, les étoiles ont fascinés les hommes : alors que les constellations représentaient les Dieux en Grèce Antique, pour d'autres elles représentaient des visions du futur, de bonnes ou de mauvaises fortunes. Les étoiles sont en fait beaucoup plus qu'une masse flottant dans le vide intersidéral, elles sont un symbole de beauté, de rêves, mais aussi d'utopie, d'idéal irréalisable. Il semblerait que chaque homme appartient à une étoile. L'humanité est née des cendres et de la poussière d'étoile. Arvania est donc le nom qui désigne le cheminement de l'univers à travers le fleuve du temps, de la naissance, jusqu'à la mort, et surtout... au-delà. Arvania est un groupe de Rimouski (Québec) qui joue un métal mélodique tirant vers le power et le progressif. La musique se rapproche de groupes tels Angra, Symphony X, Sonata Arctica et bien d'autres. Le groupe du subir un changement de line-up suite à des conflits au sein de celui-ci et du se départir de leur drummer. Le groupe est maintenant composé de Jean-Philippe Tessier à la batterie, de Maxime Doiron aux claviers (Ex-Seventh Chapter, Ex-Robotentanz), de Jean-Simon Otis et de Martin Denis à la guitare, de Pierre-Luc Pelletier (Fearless Mind) à la basse et enfin, de Marilyn Dubé à la voix.
