About the Artist
OUR STORY: BLAMESHIFT
Blameshift members Jenny Mann (vocals), Tim Barbour (guitar and vocals) and Nathan Saake (drums) of the Long Island based rock band have been blazing their independent path across the nation over the better part of 5 years, logging well over 200,000 miles of touring terrain. During that time the band could have easily taught a collegiate level course on band survival. With a high powered list of sponsors, their music as a full time job and their custom band built tour bus, Blameshift headed from New York to Los Angeles in late Nov 2012 to finish their next full length album “Secrets” with producer Erik Ron (VersaEmerge, Good Charlotte, Panic at the Disco). What resulted was the full commercially driven sound that Blameshift envisioned since the band’s inception.
The hype began about a year and a half ago when the band released their EP The Black Rose, a record fully funded by loyal fans. Over 75 related music media outlets, including Taco Bell and Sullen Clothing, supported the bands release, which nearly tripled the band’s following.
Soon after the EP release, the band shot a music video with director Jay Sansone for their single "Ghost" off the Black Rose. Hot Topic recognized the band’s talent by coining Blameshift as “Unsigned Band of the Month” in August 2011 along with premiering the new music video. Within a very short time the band had over 100,000 hits and other media outlets such as BlankTV began to support the band. Shortly after then, MTV featured two songs on the hit series "The Real World” and the band received massive exposure on the game “Call of Duty”. After the success of the EP, Blameshift announced new partnerships with Ampeg, Sennheiser, PRS Guitars, Schecter Guitars, GHS Strings, Venue Magic, Rockin' Wellness Superfood Drink, Sullen Clothing, Clique Vodka and Kings & Pawns Clothing.
Blameshift has since developed into a well-oiled touring machine. At the helm of their trusted tour bus, the band has been on the road non-stop only to take a few breaths. The band has performed both solo and supporting dates. In fact, Blameshift has toured with some of active rock’s best, including performances with 12 Stones, Digital Summer, Screaming for Silence, Black Stone Cherry and Throwing Gravity, as well as performances on the Reverbnation Tour which kicked off on January 2013.
After successfully selling 10,000 copies independently, Blameshift hit the road for the remainder of 2013 in support of their new release “Secrets”, the follow up to the Black Rose EP. Fueled by the band’s desire to reach new fans, Blameshift released their first single “Let Go” on July 23rd and recently just announced the official street date for the new album of November 5! Request "Let Go" on your local rock radio station and help them climb the charts!
