Tony Hood was born Terrence Antonio Pitts from Jacksonville, FL, At the age of eight, music started to become a part of Terrence's life, where he attended Lockhart Middle School as a trombone player in the concert band. Other talents flared from him around this time, as he discovered his knack for poetry. He became introduced to freestyle rap through mutual friend and later rap companion Jah’von Simms. After graduating, Terrence now “Young Mag”, Jah'von “Fortune 5”, and high school friend Jacob “J. Nero” would form a music group called "Tha Draf Pikz". They remained together for nearly 2 years until Terrence decided to pursue a solo career. Nothing came easy for him. He was on his own at this point, with little knowledge on how to go forward. With the help of his God brother and future Manager Rafael, who had taken him under his wing, he was able to buy beats, afford studio time, and stay focused. January of 2009 Rafael started his own Independent Record Label..Blaq Soul Entertainment.. Tony Hood signed as his 1st Artist and President of the company. He started doing open mic poetry and became more diligent in his solo rap career! Soon after Rafael, was introduced to Alize "Ladys 1st Choice", once Rafael heard his voice he signed Alize to Blaq Soul Entertainment the next day.
