Boys - Gossip by when we first heard denver’s boys,
when we first heard denver’s boys, we were straight up blown away. finally, a band that fucking gets it. we listen to a lot of music, a ton. and sometimes when you hear something, something new, something this awesome, you sort of have one of those ridiculous musical discovery type moments. where shit just sort of stops and you’re something like “wow, what the fuck is this. this is fucking incredible!” anyone’s who listens to music has them. its sort of why i listen to music in the first place. those moments are the fucking best. and listening to boys for the first time felt like that. this is a just a demo and the recording isn’t perfect, but, for real, try it for yourself, check the demo below for gossip

Boys shakes off the past with Nashville sessions, by 2011 just might be the year of Boys.
of unease, the female-fronted rock group is catching the attention of various industry players. Boys arose from the dissolution of two promising Colorado bands, Speakeasy Tiger and Life In Electric. The group is combining their connections, talent and momentum into a serious chance at inking a deal or two by this summer. The band has caught the eyes of various industry players, including Danny Nozell, the CEO of CTK Management who currently manages Dolly Parton, and Shawn “Clown” Crahan of Slipknot, who had a hand in producing the band’s demos. Boys are currently writing and recording at TML Studios in Nashville in hopes that they’ll soon be shopping their goods to labels, the Agency Group and maybe even some European summertime festivals. Reverb recently caught up with guitarist Ross Ryan and vocalist Kyle Simmons to talk about the new project. How did the two bands come together for the new project? R.R.: Kyle was in Speakeasy Tiger and obviously I was in Life in Electric. I was following Speakeasy and liked Kyle’s voice a lot. As soon as she was a free agent, I pretty much harassed her non-stop until she agreed to play with me. What people have heard previously from Boys has been some rough demos and rough stages of songs we play live, and we’re out here working on fine-tuning these arrangements and making some solid singles. Why head out to Nashville? R.R.: Danny Nozell from CTK Management said he loved the band and wanted to do something with the group, so the offer was put on the table to do a spec deal of sorts to get the band out to Nashville and get some legitimate, single-quality stuff recorded. Right now we are being produced by Troy Lucetta, drummer from Tesla, along with Chuck Alkazian (Pop Evil, Elton John, 50 Cent, the Old 97′s, R. Kelly, Christina Aguilera, Dave Matthews Band). We actually have Kenny Olson from Kid Rock hanging out in the studio, too. Kyle, what attracted you to this project, and where do you see it going? K.S.: I had a huge publicized blowout with my previous band and became a target of a very real topic, which is the line you draw between how much business you put into your passion. I had known Ross for a while and immediately when he got the news I left the last group, he started to pursue me and explained that he was there to work hard for me and for what I was trying to obtain as a vocalist — you can run through a hundred and fifty musicians and never find something that real. Ross had Ryan and Zach, who played bass and drums (in Life in Electric), and they had an automatic chemistry that had sort of gone unnoticed in Denver. I wanted to see what would happen if I combined my efforts with them, and that’s when Boys developed. .....
