Bridging The Gap
The Bridges Family: Joseph (aka Brother Joe Bridges, Joe Guitar, etc.), Rhonie, Griffin, Brittian, and Elisabeth. They all live in one house. JOE GUITAR BRIDGES-guitar/bass/keys/brass/vocalsIn addition to performing and recording his own music, Brother Bridges is an experienced licensed minister/evangelist who has worked with other Christian artists, praise teams, and bands. He has played guitar since he was four years old, and sometimes it shows....; ; RHONIE BRIDGES-piano/vocals; ; Perhaps the group's most exciting vocalist, also very gifted as a preacher of the Word of God, Sister Rhonie Bridges has a very personable style that instantly says, "hey, I'm talking to YOU." If you want a revival, she's a good lady to have around; but you also might find her alone at a piano, playing by note straight from an old Baptist Hymnal. Full of surprises.; ; GRIFFIN BRIDGES-bass/trumpet/guitar/keys; ; One of the most dedicated 18 year-olds you may ever meet, Griffin picked the bass up out of necessity about five years ago to help out with the worship at Church. He was first chair trumpet in his eighth grade award-winning band at school, can readily pick out songs on guitar or keyboards. A very promising young musician!; ; BRITTIAN BRIDGES-drums/percussion/bass/keys; ; Formerly a huge asset to his middle school jazz band, Brittian is an accomplished percussionist and an AWESOME drummer, with all the energy that comes with being 17. He'll do just about anything for his Mom, musically, but HE LIKES TO ROCK.; ; ELISABETH BRIDGES-keys/vocals/sign language/tambourine/shakers; ; At only 12 years old, Elisabeth is Bridging The Gap's youngest member. She always seems to become instantly well-loved by any congregation of audience. Between live songs by her family, Elisabeth oftens performs sign language interpretation routines to recorded music, giving the band a break.
About the ArtistBridging The Gap plays for an audience of ONE, but everybody else is welcome to listen and/or help. This band likes to have Church, and they like it when other people get something from the Lord out of what they do. The Mom in this group always wanted to be in a rock and roll band, she just didn't realize that she would have to give birth to most of the members. Together, the Dad and the two sons make a really fun teenage garage band: the sons are 17 and 18, and the Dad is 49-teen. Bridging The Gap does several genres, including blues, Southern Gospel, hymnal favorites, swing, R & B, Contemporary Worship, Praise Choruses, Rock, and even Rap. Everyone in the family plays keyboards, but they only occasionally use keys in live performances. They're a little out of the ordinary.
Bridging The Gap can bring all their own equipment for venues up to 200 seats or so. They've played malls, city parks, small Churches, front porches, town squares, big Churches, weddings, and they love outdoor concerts. If you've got 25 amps of 110 power and 300 square feet of stage space out of the rain, you can have a small to moderate Bridging The Gap concert.
