"SouthernSoul
I was born and raised in the dirty south, Mobile, AL. The daughter of noted musician, Richard E. Martin, music runs through my veins.
I relocated to LA where I met La Dre of Az-One, and wrote two songs for their project on Scotti Bros’ label. I also wrote the single, “Let’s Talk About Love,” for the group 3rd Avenue on Epic Records
I was part of the girl group “Female” on Mercury Records. But the project didn’t get off the ground; certainly didn’t get the necessary support and therefore the group disbanded. Still I’m grateful for that experience. Although it hurt, it made me realize my determination to succeed
As a vocal coach, I worked with David Archuleta, I've worked with KRS1,Usher, Robin Thicke, Kid Rock, Christina Aguilera, Paula Abdul, Shaq, Hillary and Haley Duff, Shanice Wilson, the male group Portrait and As-Yet, the female group Vybe, the group Something For The People, Keith Martin, and many producers in the music industry. I feel very fortunate working beside mentors like Susan Pomerantz, Shelly Pieken, Guy Roche, and Francine Golde who respect the craft of songwriting. I am also a published writer with BMI. My publishing company is BoseArt Music Publishing, and I will eventually recruit new writers in the future
I am now the Founder/CEO of an independent record label, Black Creek South Entertainment, Inc.
I also teach one-on-one voice lessons to many talented students of all ages.
