About Cash Dough
He’s set to hit the airwaves and take hip-hop to the much-needed next level.
Born December 21st, 1986 in Toronto, Ontario Canada, but raised on the streets of Detroit and Windsor, Christopher Greer aka “Cash Dough” has been doing his thing in the music industry as a rap artist since the age of thirteen.
This 4th generation music artist has rhythm and soul in his blood. Thanks to his grandmother (an R&B/jazz singer) and great grandmother (who was the member of the gospel group Washington Singers and later formed the R&B group, The Magnolias) he carries that spirit and plans to breathe new life into the hip-hop game.
Having lost his father at the age of 10 to gun violence and being raised by his grandmother, whom he considers his mother, Cash Dough carries that weight with him and fearlessly injects it into his music. The layers of his life continue to play a deep part in his musical compositions.
His flawless ability to weave gangsta rap coupled with riveting stories of the blues all intertwined with his own life experiences, Cash Dough is firmly bolstered by his unique swag and lyrical capability. He’s an old soul in a young body.
Cash Dough has the flexibility of style, to be versatile on any type of beat. He puts it all out, drawing his listeners in on every note. He knew very early on that music was in his destiny, when he decided to leave school and answer to his own beat. It wasn’t long before industry executives took note: At age thirteen, he was signed on to Hyped International followed by a brief and productive relationship at age sixteen with Universal Music.
Over the years his creativity and talent has grown through in-studio associations or as opening acts for such artists as: Warren G, Snoop Dogg, Tyson Kuteyi, Ja Rule, Tony “TMONEY” Green, Tobi Legend Lark, Sean Kingston and even legendary George Clinton/Parliament and the Funkadelics.
Currently as an independent artist, Cash Dough is working towards his first single and album release this year. And his fans that span from East Coast to the West Coast, as well as from his hoods of Windsor and Detroit—all eagerly wait.
It’s clear; everybody needs and wants, Cash Dough!
