About Cowboy Cadillac
A new band from Miami, FL,. Cowboy Cadillac was formed by two musicians
who were both writing music and wanting to be in a band, but until now had been in
various arrangements of the wrong band. Now John and Daniel are
together their collaboration has quickly gained them fans around the world. In just a week
CowboyCadillac had 3000 hits on their reverbnation page, and countless fanmail on
our facebook and myspace pages, from all corners of the globe stating that this band is a
breath of fresh air and at last what they have been looking and waiting for, for a long time.
Our mixture of influences and musical tastes is definitely a key factor to our sound,
though it is also the common appreciation of melody and classic song writing formulas passed
down from our piers, idols and family.
John Curry had a band called Goneblind who in 2004 were signed to Roadrunner.
After touring with Creed on a
U.S. and Canadian tour, Scott Stapp (Lead Singer of Creed) got in touch with
Goneblind asking if they would consider being the members of his solo band. They agreed and
went into the studio in 2005 to record ‘The Great Divide’. They toured that band for a year,
then in 2007 Scott planned to do another album, though the band had dis-membered.
This was the point John and Daniel met, as Daniel was brought in to play bass and
help to write and produce the album. That album was never released and now John
and Daniel have formed Cowboy Cadillac.
Daniel Wills, son of bass player Rick Wills (Foreigner, Bad Company, David Gilmour)
grew up in London and New York, but moved to L.A. in 2001 to persue a career in music.
Playing with many different acts like 27miles, Hypnogaja White Starr and Man Made God.
Daniel made many friends in the Hollywood music scene. In 2004 he met his wife-to-be who
was from Miami, and proceeded to move there to live. Now Daniel has finished working on
Scott Stapp’s second solo album, he is putting all efforts into Cowboy Cadillac. Doing
the graphic design work as well as helping to complete the music Daniel andJohn
