Crystal Renee Chambers was born July 19, 1987 in Atlanta Georgia. At 6 months, her father was offered a job in Lakenheath England, where they resided for 6 years. She was brought up in the church, and thats where she began singing. At that time, music was just something to do for fun and had not yet become a priority. Her family then moved to Waco, Texas where they are currently residing. When she reached the 6th grade, she joined the choir and realized that music was something that she really enjoyed doing. In the 8th grade, she and 2 friends tried out for a talent show called "Pizzazz" and eventually were put on as acts for the show. "Lately" by divine became the song that would let everyone hear what she could really do, and it definitely worked. From that moment on, she knew that singing was her way to the top. By the time she was in highschool, she was in the select choirs and also became the "official" singer for all of the basketball games performing the "National Anthem' which opened up more opportunities for her such as various shows and political forums held in Waco. After highschool, she attended McLennan Community College where she decided to broaden her musical genres by joining Contemporary Christian, Rock, Jazz, and A Capella Ensembles. The appreciation she developed for them all has given her so much knowledge and musical ideas to go off of in her own writing. Singing covers from Ella Fitzgerald to improvising to Miles Davis "So What", to "Dont Stop Believing" by Journey,"Crazy On You" by Heart & etc, has made her so proud of the musical background that was before her, and can take it with her in her music today. With hardwork and dedication, she graduated from MCC with a degree in Commercial Music Vocal Performance in May of 2008. As of today, she is working and continuing to pursue her music until the right person comes along to listen unless she finds them first, and then they will just have to.
