She is a resident MC for Wombeatz at local nightclub Cloud9.
D3 gained qualifications in Radio Presenting and went on to host her own radio show, ‘Breakfast with D3’, on Lifeforce FM 2005/2006. She also hosted a local talent show on East Leeds FM.
She is a Poet coach with Leeds Young Authors and accompanied them to the Brave New Voices annual poetry slam, a spoken word competition, presented by Russell Simmons, 2005/2010 in L.A and San Fransisco. There, she worked with Common and Talib Kweli and took part in writing workshops with Saul Williams, Queen Godis, K. Swift and Beau Sia. It’s no wonder her writing skills grew immensely!
Denetta promotes positive values and supports and performs for Mothers’ Against Violence, Amnesty International, Womens’ Rights and Love Music Hate Racism.
She is currently working on her album ‘Product of Society‘.
