Yung JayR was born Kenneth Carpenter Jr. in Bronx, New York. 5 years later he moved to Dayton, Ohio. Was about 5 years after that when he fell in love with hip-hop. People began to see that JayR was something new to listen to. His sound is more than Midwest. His is like a mixture of Midwest, east coast, and south. The Ohio native has performed in many shows around the nation including Ohio, Georgia, Texas, and New York. His fan base continues to grow because of his universal sound.
