"Ambient Experimental Shoegaze played through a speaker the size of the moon from outerspace." Dancing For Architecture is the combination of two similar but diversified musical minds from southwest england. With an almost spiritual musical connection and a synchronised outlook on minimalistic ambience as the greater good, DFA set about writing and recording their first track, conveniently entitled "Number 1", in a matter of hours. Drawing from a number of influences including Isis, Godflesh, Sigur Ros, and the Brian Eno/Robert Fripp partnership, DFA will always strive for a sound based on the layering of soundscapes, creative use of musical instruments, and unconventional song structures using repitition for its mantric qualities rather than viewing it as a limitation. DFA view the tracks they create as more of a journey than a destination - the listener should draw their own conclusions. DFA will be writing extensively in the coming months with some live performances and multimedia productions coming to a town near you.
