David Berkeley; Jordan Katz; Bill Titus;
About the ArtistSan Francisco based songwriter and author David Berkeley is a romantic realist, known for his ability to look at the human condition in all its complexity and give us luminous songs full of sunshine and anguish, melancholy and delight.
Called "a musical poet" by the San Francisco Chronicle and compared to Tim Buckley and Nick Drake by the New York Times, David Berkeley has been a guest on "This American Life." He's toured with Dido, Don Mclean, Ben Folds, Rufus Wainwright, Ray Lamontagne, Billy Bragg, Nickel Creek and many more.
He recently released his fourth studio album, "Some Kind of Cure," which was fully fan-funded ($32,000 donated through his website). And he wrote an accompanying book called "140 Goats and a Guitar," which tells the story behind each of the songs on the album.
Berkeley has a degree in literature from Harvard. His poetic and profound lyrics set him apart.
