About the Artist

Desmond Myers - Cowboy Storyteller by way of North Carolina, guitarrero by way of Andalucía, delivered via the new international post: hip hop. The twenty year old guitarist, singer, and MC from the south east US, bundles his influences to paint a colorful and provocative picture of the world according to him!

From his hometown of Statesville, North Carolina came Desmond to Regensburg, Germany to follow his longtime dream of discovering and playing music in Europe. Desmond Myers’ music is an honest attempt to display music of where he comes from, with music of where he wants to go. A strong lover of European and South American music like tango, flamenco, chanson and waltz, Desmond mixes many elements of the genres within the contexts of music “from home” rock, folk, and hip hop. With his EP “The Yellow Rose“ in his book bag, Desmond is touring his way through over 75 European cities in 2012. In his bookbag is his EP "The Yellow Rose" is available exclusively at shows.
