Washington Dc-based rap artist Duce Real (Antoine) began writing raps at an early age for fun; never did he think that we would later plan to make a career out of it. Hip-Hop and the entertainment industry engrossed Antoine so much that he felt as though he couldn't exist without it. Born on December 23, 1988; Antoine (Duce) resided with his mother, aunt and grandmother in NE. Washington DC. Growing up in a house full of women, Antoine felt like he quickly had to take on responsibility and become the man of the house. In an attempt to keep Antoine out of trouble by High school years, he moved to Suitland Maryland his ninth grade year to live with his mother and attended Suitland High school. Suitland was only about 4 minutes from DC or at least 8 minutes if you do the speed limit. Antoine and his mom quickly found out that Suitland Maryland area wasn't a big difference from DC; crimes wise. Antoine didn't care because he loved the streets and the only thing he feared was God and his mom. Antoine quickly adapted to his new surrounding and by 11th grade year, established a name for himself as one of the hottest rappers in a school of many and a kid who you didn't want to get of his bad side. This even gains the attention of Antoine's father who bounced in and out of his life to introduce Antoine to his long time friend DJ WYE (Ramon L. Wye) who works off and on with 92.3 radio station and also DJs parties around the area. DJ Wye gave Duce his first big test, he wanted him to perform at Maryland Eastern Shore prom that he was booked for DJ. Duce impressed Wye with his stage presence; lyrics and the ability to not only hold the attention of African Americans and espanics but also Caucasians. Wye saw so much potential that he wanted to become his manger because he new he'd found something special here. He saw Duce as very a marketable person. Antoine found himself in a competition showcase at the Zanzibar club and Bowie University where he proved his skills and that this business was for him. Antoine has found the website "myspace" to be a good opportunity to promote and market his music with intent to gain attention from a major record label. Antoine currently attends PG community college as he peruses his mission to get his foot in the music industry. In 2005 I perform at Eastern High School in Eastern Shore Maryland Prom. In 2006 I perform at the Zanzibar for the Millennium Talent search In 2006 I performed in Bowie University talent show In January 5 2007 I performed at the Kendajah night club at the universal facts production hip=hop all stars first Fridays. July 4 2007 I Performed at the Zanzibar for Fashion Extravaganza and opened up for Boss man
