Dysentery

About the Artist

Formed in 2002, Dysentery was brought together with the intention of forging obscenely brutal death metal. Since the band's inception, they have received great acclaim for their 'Slaughtered Remnants' demo, and the infamous Dysentery/Gutrot split 'Excruciatingly Euphoric Torment' (AVR). As with many bands over the years, Dysentery weathered lineup changes and the ravages of time but pressed on in their dedication to forge new levels of brutality, heaviness and groove. Discontent to be another 'a-symmetrical' slam band, Dysentery has set out to push forward beyond the conventional formula which seems to flood the genre these days. Composed of members of the original Dysentery, Vermicular Decay, Porphyria and Parasitic Extirpation, the band is deep in the writing process for the long awaited full length 'From Past Suffering Comes New Flesh' which will be released on Amputated Vein Records in the summer of 2008.
