DJ LB PROFILE

RELEBOHILE LEBITSA,well known as dj lb was born in Soweto at baragwanath hospital in 1986 on the 7^th of  july,then later that year,my mother moved me to Lesotho to live with my grandparents due to the apartheid violence,I then started my first education in Lesotho at a primary school called seabata in maseru.Then in 1994 when Mandela was elected president,we then moved back to Gauteng with my mother and older brother to live in Johannesburg where I continued with my education at task academy high and primary school,then a year later we moved to Soweto in meadowlands,where I still live and work at.

Musical backround

DJ LB has always loved music,even though there was no one in his family backround who did music as profession ,he always had interest in musical instruments,recording studio ect..,anything to do with music he loved. Due to the love of music,he always knew that das what he wants to do when he complites his matric,dj lb then got a chance to start with his music when he was in grade 11,at a place called DOWNTOWN studios,where he started learning the engineering,production and business side of music,that only happened for a year ,then when he complited his matric,he meet a guy who owned a public recording studio called double t studios in Johannesburg,the guy’s name was thabo,dj lb then continued to learn more about the music recording and engineering by recording  most people who record at the studio,a year after,he decided to open his own recording studio at his home in home in meadowlans Soweto,then lb records was established.

WORK BACKROUND

The record company and studio have been operating now for 4 year and is still getting bigger,in the four years of the studio operation,dj lb has produced,recorded and engineered for most established and wellknown professional artist and underground artist.              

Then professional,wellknown established artists that have and still working with dj lb are,Mr Selwyn,who won awards for his best hiphop recordings,kay-e who had a hit song ‘bona re etsang’in which was remixed three times and had three videos which were all hits and now working on his debut album ,985 who had a hit album and single on high rotation on popular radio station,f-eezy,graig palm who is also a wellknown actor, deep Soweto,molly, t,do from zulu mob,sgebi who is a wonderfull  vocals for most wellknown hiphop artists like prokid,kay-e ect..,he also worked with upcoming artists like spy2,keyla,king and many more…,dj lb also works with wellknown dance producers and dj,s from over seas,artists like dj spen,ndinga gaba,wayne cooper,who three of them have remixed on of dj lb;s house song,in which the song is available on most popular digital stores like itunes,amazon,juno downloads,beatport and many more …,he also works with dj mackboogalooo who also remixed dj lb s song and dj lb and dj lb has also available for downloads on the digital stores which were mentioned above. Dj lb currently has a single which is becoming international recorgnised and also localy recorgnised the song is getting airplay in international radio stations ,like in new York ,chigago,manhattan ,u.k ,Russia ect,,the song is also currently being played on popular local radio station and has a video short for it ,in which will be airing soon on local and international t.v stations ,the song is titled hey misses and it features wonderfull vocal by wellknown kwaito legend ,Arthur mafokate,

DJ LB has been deejaying for three years,and in those three years,he has played at major clubs around Johannesburg  and Soweto,Mpumalanga ,free state ,Durban ect with most well known artists ,dj lb also played at major shows organized by the south African government and das a lotof charity work for the needy.
