We Are Known To Wander, a rock band from Southern Wisconsin. Our state is known for Bon Iver and the Violent Femmes, and our band represents those opposing forces of influence. We have a little acoustic heart, a little fuzzy guitar goodness, and a little blues sensibility. If you were to assume that only a very odd group of individuals could call that a band theme, you would certainly be right. What makes it work is that at the core, Known To Wander is three musicians with different backgrounds, tastes, and styles. We've been told it works. We'd like to think that's true. As a band, we have strayed far from Wisconsin, but always returned home to our roots. We want to have a good time, a good show, and some good lyrics to share with our fans. The songs don't all blend into one big drone, and that's intentional. We want to write songs that mean something to people, and really just give them something honest. Every song has a story, but they don't need to be told every time. Layers. Like Ogres. And Onions. If that didn't sound like a Norwegian metal band, it might just be our name. Sadly, we'll have to stick with Known To Wander. It just seems to fit.
