About the Artist
Something strange, something eloquent, refreshing, rhythmical and blissful. From their acoustic sets to full on alternative rock sounds. Sounds like… Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pearl Jam, progressive REM….
Formed in early 2016 in Nottingham, UK as an acoustic duo, the band has gone on to complete a 27 date acoustic tour of the Midlands. PP Johnson brings his words, production knowledge and masterful voice to a combined sound that can only be described as Strange Currencies. Claudine West is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist/songwriter/producer. Often performing with mandolin and drums. With the Derby talents of Andrew Death on guitar / multi-instruments. Steve Canner on bass (Big thanks to Trevor ‘Bassey’ Easton on bass initially) Robert ‘Too Tall’ Batchelor regularly joins in on harmonica.
