Born in Brooklyn New York and raised in Marcy projects, the 27 yr. old Emcee has ripped microphones across the country, earning himself a well placed name amongst the underground scene. a self proclaimed "product of the enviornment", Go go relates his life and the life if many other's through song. He describes emotion useing words that vividly dance in the listners mind and heart. Raised by the streets and child welfare system of New York City, black has had an experience tha desreves to be told to the world. over his carrer Go Go Black has developed multiple deliveries, that he uses at will over tracks that compliment his stlye and content. since the tender age of nine, Black has had a passion for Hip Hop. Influenced by Rakim, KRSone, Nas, LL Cool J, EPMD, Scare Face, 2-pac and countless others, Go Go Black can be described as one of Hip Hop's lost sons. being placed into the booth at the age of fourteen by no other then Hip Hop's legend KRSone, Black became immediately addicted to recording. Infact his first show was along side the Great KRSone at Maryland University in 1994. This opened yet another world within the realm of Hip Hop for the exquisite Emcee. In 1998 Go Go battled Eminem on 88 Hip Hop's internet radio show, and won hands down, right after desroying countless rappers for ten weeks. 88 Hip Hop had to retire the young champion only to leave him with yet another notch on his heavy belt. During the year of 1996 Go Go traveled with Craig Mack formely of Bad Boy Records across state lines gaining more stage expeirence to sharpen his talents. Gaining notariety on the underground Hip Hop scene, Go Go started to appear on every stage that would take him, even if he had to pay! In 1997 the former heavy wheight boxing World Champion, Mike Tyson took notice of the emcees skills and added him on to the Iron Mike Records roster, managed by Jaquiline Rowe. This led up to performances wit acts swuch as 356, Mack 10, The Luniz, M.C. Eight, and Mic Geronimo. During Black's time with Iron Mike managment, Go Go also got a chance to record with the Great Mark Gordan, Muhammad and Hakim Bell, Heather B, and D.R Period. Later to be introduced to Wyclef Jean through a mutual friend. Go Go Black began recording out of the infamous Booga Basement. He even got a chance to back up Da Fugees on stage at the 1997 Greek fest at Jones Beach, yet again touching the stars but not yet landing a home in the feild of music. life took a turn for the worst and Black landed himself in a Southern Correctional facility at the end of 1998. Returning to the free world in 2001, Go Go and crew took matters into thier own hands and began recording mix tapes that were released throughout the tri state area. The grind of the mixtape world put Go Go on stage after stage, only adding to the young Emcees resume. Showcase after showcase, Go Go black bought the house down earning him a spot in the independent film "Coilition" produced by Joe Ariola along side Raekwon The Chef and Chuck Zeda of "OZ". From Daddy's House to Double R Studios Black has a booth presence that mathes no one. Recently during the 2008 Undeground Celebrity showcase in Atlantic Ciy, Black was awarded with the "Hard Work Of The Year Award". Fight Club, Smack DVD, Da Bakery, Hustle Up, underground Celeb, and Brooklyn's Finest are some of the many DVD's that has featured Brooklyn's own Go Black. He's even had a small write up in the 1995 issue of the Source Magazine. Staying positive and constantly on the grind has kept Go Go Black focused on the task at hand. Becomming a star.
