Jala Shay was born October 24, 1995 and grew up in the Bedford Heights suburbs of Cleveland, Ohio. her family settled in Atlanta, Ga, Jala is no rookie when it come to the entertainment industry. Because of her talents, Jala has won awards from trips to Disney World and iPods to scholarships, savings bonds, and trophies. Since she was three years old, she began her career, with top model and talent agencies, Ford and Elite Models, Jala boasts credits that include: "The Lottery Ticket" withBow Wow, "Mean Girls 2", Tyler Perry's "House of Payne", VH1's "Single Ladies" and “Teen wolf”, Jacob Latimore's latest music video for his single Like 'Em All" featuring Diggy Simmons, When it comes to her music career, currently Jala is a member of BMI and has attended publishing and songwriting workshops. Jala knows the scope of where her music could go.
