Biographical Information:  Monty Cold
 
Hailing from the home of “Go-Go” music, Washington, D.C., now residing in the “Coldest” state in the nation, Minnesota, Monty Cold was destined to have an ear for music. It was not until he sat down at the piano as a teenager and found peace that he realized music was his calling.

Monty Cold began crafting his music by channeling his musical inspirations starting at young age.  Influences such as Andre 3000, A Tribe Called Quest and Stevie Wonder helped to create his unique sound. Being a fan of all genres of music ranging from Jazz to Alternative Rock equipped Monty Cold to have variation throughout his own music.

Incorporating his musical background and his fascination with the art of wordplay Monty Cold has been able to spread his sound and his vision by performing at arenas in New York, Philadelphia, Maryland, Minnesota and Washington D.C. Opening for artist such as, Big KRIT and Smoke DZA as well as performing in an MMG endorsed showcase.

Monty Cold is not a rapper, or a producer, but a musician.
