Jhaylen “Jhay B” Brown is a self taught singer/songwriter and poet born and raised in Kansas City, MO. Jhaylen realized his dream at the age of six and from then on has taken every opportunity to better himself in every aspect of music and performance. Now at the age 16 has developed into a brilliant original artist who perceives life and the world from many vantage points and is able to incorporate these understandings and express himself fluently through his music and poetry. He is predominantly a R&B who has only been writing and recording for about four years. In the short time he has been recording Jhay has shown that his potential is great through his originality, creativity, drive. Jhay is deeply inspired by personal experiences, global situations and many greats such as Usher, Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, Beyonce, Stevie wonder, Brian McKnight and the list goes on. Listening to such artist and watching them perform Jhay has become the brilliant young artist he is today with star potential, professional attitude and immense raw talent. Jhay’s first performance was at a school talent show in 2007 there he sang “Until the end of time” by Justin Timberlake. Feeling the rush of enthusiasm and excitement in the crowds reaction confirmed to him that on stage is where he should be, sharing his gift with the audience connecting himself to the world through the universal language of music.
