About the Artist

From quiet to quite frankly- unable to be silenced, this Wyandotte County girl has a lot to say. JL is a female artist of many crafts who likes to travel the unpaved road. She has grown out of the vines that embody passionate poetry to develop melodic verse. JL reflects the lyrical presence of female emcees from the late 80’s to early 90’s. Vocally, she is soulful yet refreshing from today’s neo-soul or standard rhythm/blues and oddly unique as influenced by many genres.
