About the Artist

BENin10D - Joseph "Joe B." Benintende III Joe was born and raised in New Orleans, LA and this greatly affected his music. Joe comes from a long line of successful musicians and artist. His Great Grandfather wrote and composed the Symphony in Sicily "TARENTELLA" in the late 1800's and his Grandfathers brother Mariano Benintende was a well known Jazz musician both in Italy and the United States. Joe actually learned guitar at a very early age from the legendary Johnny Rivers, Joe's family lived next door to Rivers Mother and on weekends when Johnny came around and played acoustic on the porch, Joe was right there watching, listening and learning and many years later his love for music has completely elevated more and more each year. Joe became involved in producing and promoting concerts in college and found that it paid much better than playing in a a band, which Joe did all the time, so concert promoting became Joe's career and a perfect one at that. Joe got to meet and listen to all his musical heroes. He then got to play music with them and becam close friend with many of them, many of those artist are listed as friend on Joe's MySpace page. Joe's favorite song that he has written is America which he wrote the morning of 9/11 and was asked to play at his own amphitheatre 2 days later for the Presidents National Day of Prayer in front of 7000 people and only to find out after he played the song found out that CNN had picked up the performance and broadcast to 10 million viewers. The BENin10D CD has an unusual target audience and an unusual purpose. While we truly hope you enjoy each of the songs, each have been recorded in a unique method and designed so that a Producer for another National Artist may here a sound or arrangement they like for the song instead of like most CD's out today where the CD's artist arranges the songs to his or her's preferences. We hope to utilize the many wonerful licensing opportunities out there today with the material on this CD and begin a great reputation as a song writer. MY WRITING AND PERFORMING I fully realize my forte' is not being a great vocalist,however I always strive to be original and sometimes re-record something because I accidentally performed it as someone else.(As in Cover Band Style)My music interest lean more in the writer category and I seriously doubt I'll ever be a Rock or Country Star, but sure would like to hear some of the successful artist producing my songs their way and making them hits, so I am constantly writing and only a small number of them are on here so far. MY FORTUNATE BACKGROUND AND HISTORY I am retired Director of Production for Clear Channel Entertainment/LIVENATION and I am loving just having time to play around with writing instead of playing and managing show timelines that really age me. For 20+ years I have been producing and promoting National and International Artist all over the world and have been on more tours than I can count and the memories are countless and wonderful. The one real downside to my career was that it was complete TABOO to pitch my material to the artist I worked with, it was part of my job to protest the artist from people pitching things to them. But today no holds barred and I am having so much fun ! BENin10D #1 is getting a very favorable response and I appreciate every single person who has listened and enjoyed and spread the word, it is spreading faster than I ever would have believed.BENin10D CD #1This CD has 14 cuts on it. Anyone of these cuts could fall into several genre's depending how they are produced. They could all fall under Rock, Emo, Country or Alternative. I recorded each song in a very simple matter with just guitar and vocals and the song topics cover many aspects of life in general. They cover LOVE, DESPAIR, TRUTH, DENIAL, FAITH and JOY ! I cannot Thank every one who has listened, checked out the websites, downloaded cuts and increased my fan list, afterall, without you the fans this music is nothing and I know it is you that makes this music special and again I can't Thank you enough, I hope you will enjoy BENin10D #1 and will look forward to a completely different project in BENin10D - The Band #2 ! BENin10D - The Band and the next CD. This project is already in the works and will have everythin included. These songs will be fully tracked and several will be very upbeat and kickin.
