Hello. My name is Joe DeVita. I have been performing and teaching music professionally since about the age of eighteen years old. I am probably more familiar to people in the DYI and underground music communities for my electronic and punk rock albums. All of which are pretty rough and unique. I've been pretty blessed to have been able to play at some great venues throughout the United States and have gotten quite a bit of press for my earlier endeavors. In May of 2009 I decided to throw caution to the wind and hitch hiked/bicycled throughout the United States. My travels spanned over 5 months. 2 of those months found me recoving from a 5 car, car crash that I should not have survived from. Luckily, I'm as healthy as ever. While traveling I had an amazing opportunity to reconnect with my love of straight-forward songwriting, storytelling, as well as re-exploring my Blues and Americana roots. These styles are the main points of my focus at the moment. There's a real magic to words and the art of story telling that I've really fallen in love with and look forward to growing in my creative expression. Hey!
