At the young age of 8, he was learning how to pick on a guitar, and by the age of 10, was playing in his father’s band….So it only makes sense that his love of singing and playing would eventually lead him to Nashville…. At home in Warrensburg, IL, JT worked at a few different jobs, while still getting out at night to play with his band. Finally, in 2003, he made the decision to make the big move to Music City. He “couldn’t live without knowing if he could make it”, and so began his Nashville music career….And he has never looked back…. Once in Nashville, JT got the opportunity to meet some of the city’s best….And guided by these great writers and musicians, including KW Turnbough, Clay Canfield, Hank Cochran, and Red Lane, he realized that he had his own story to tell….and a lot to say. And so JT began putting his stories into music and lyrics…. JT Vaughn has been singing and playing in front of crowds from 5 to 5000, and enjoying every minute of it. His influences range from Stevie Ray Vaughn to Jimi Hendrix to various country acts, and his unique style and sound he has created has been described as “Chris Isaak and Gary Allan meet Stevie Ray Vaughn” “I’ve learned that other than God himself, music is the most powerful thing on earth.”
