MY ANSWER:
hi daniel,
this is an unprecedented turn of events. i'm a missionary and an evangelist and i have been leading worship and singing in churches of all denominations for over 30 years -
JDF OGRES is clearly a song (read the song info) about a person who, like shrek in the movie, feels like an outcast, like an 'ogre' - any honest christian can relate to feeling like that when they've sinned, or when things go bad BUT the main message of the song is clearly about how Jesus' death on the cross delivers us from the pain of sin and death. in fact it shows how we His followers (like shrek) have something in common with Christ in that people with torches and pitchforks came after him in the garden of gethsemene.
for crying out loud, how much more appropriate and applicable does the song need to be? perhaps we're dealing with baby, milk drinking christians who haven't read the scriptures or studied them enough to understand the body of christ (his church) has many members (parts), we can't all be thumbs or noses. we all have a place and a purpose. everybody knows what happens when a body rejects one of it's parts - death is not far behind/
it amazes me that the 'christian' channel which is not even 3 days old yet (and thank you by the way for creating it) is already on a witch hunt, backstabbing and complaining and ripping fellow members to shreds! sheesh, it's just like home (church) no wonder the world wants nothing to do with christ - i can see their logic: if he's anything like their followers, who needs Him? ...sad...
i can see your point of view and in the interest of peace (careful, christians make angry mobs AND good lion chow, but that's another story...) i'm not going to make a big stink about it - JDFO did quite well in the other channels (where folks still have a sense of humor, are not intimidated by new things and don't believe that 'artistic license' is a ticket straight to hell ) BUT, it is America after all, and even murderers, while they haven't committed the unpardonable sin (like i apparently have), still have the right to face their accusers.
i understand that you have a privacy policy in effect which like as not prohibits you from providing me with the names/email addresses of said 'complainants', so might i suggest giving them mine kryptickmail@aol.com WITH MY FULL EXPRESS CONSENT AND PERMISSION let's see if they will humble themselves
and take a few moments to email me regarding this matter. i would also like to request if i may, that you forward a copy of this email to each complainant - THAT seems fair to me.
at this point, i'd consider the matter closed except for one thing, and this troubles me far more than my song getting bumped and it's concerning the dangerous precedent being set here at ourstage. "CENSORSHIP" is like a cancer - once you open the gate and allow yourselves to be pressured into censorship it will grow and spread to include prejudice and other forms of bigotry and facism - just look at history.
you guys have a really sweet thing happening, and out of respect for you and this otherwise awesome venture, i just want to caution you and ask you to maybe take a meeting... table this thing... put your heads together, come up with strict, solid policies to apply in these situations - form a strong united front and then move foward with this thing, and i wish you and your partners the best of luck and great success with ourstage.com.

i removed my songs from all competitions but 2, and next i'm interested in finding out how you close your account and whether or not these guys have integrity in their dealing with us or not. do they delete our copyrighted material when we leave? we shall see.
in the meantime artists, please pray for me, for my attitude and quite honestly, my feelings are a little hurt.

................. OK, HERE IS THE FINAL DISPOSITION OF 'THE JESUS DIED FOR OGRES AFFAIR" - Dear Kimberly, Thank you for taking time to send me your lyrics. This is a new channel for us and one we are very enthusiastic to showcase and promote. We're also very cautious right now because it is new ground for us, so your patience and understanding is appreciated. In reading these lyrics I interpret the ogre to be a metaphor for humanity. Assuming that is true, it definitely meets the channel criteria. I would ask that you put some explanation of this lyric in your song description to help our community members understand the significance of your work. Lyrics are sometimes difficult to extract from recordings. We're looking at a lyric feature on the site, but that's still out in the future. Perhaps even a post in our soon to be released blog talking about the song and its meaning (along with these lyrics) would be great as well. I will reinstate the song into the channel and instruct my team on how to manage any off topic flags that will come through, simply because of the somewhat jarring nature of the song's title. ALSO, i changed the artwork for the song to include: DON'T LET THE TITLE FOOL YOU" and a link to the lyrics, i also updated the 'info' section with the same information so are we cool? thank you for redeeming my faith in humankind, and i intend to reciprocate by going on an all out, boots to the wall promotional campaign inviting anyone and everyone to check out ourstage.com. as far as i'm concerned, your integrity and professionalism now rates at a 210% !!! thanks again, sold on ourstage.com kryptic k .............
