About the Artist
defining "vocal perfection from the moment she opens her mouth" (gregory douglass) and "carrying the gravity of an old soul through every crevice of a song," (syd), lisa piccirillo's allure is hypnotic.
known as a singer growing up in riverside, connecticut, lisa developed her talents performing locally, winning talent shows, starring in musical theater productions and singing with various choirs. at skidmore college, lisa captivated audiences as a member of the skidmore dynamics a cappella group with her renditions of "bury my lovely" (october project) and "come on over" (christina aguilera). both performances earned her soloist awards at the international championship of collegiate a cappella. the group went on to place among the top six in north america, gaining press from the ny times and performing at lincoln center’s avery fisher hall in new york city.
steadily gaining a fan base with her original music, she has toured with gregory dougass and opened for such performers as edie carey, october project, stephen kellogg, and peter mulvey. her full length debut will be released in 2008.
