About the Artist
Liz Rognes is a singer/songwriter and multi-genre artist based in Saint Paul, MN or Spokane, WA, depending on how you measure her time. She grew up in rural Iowa, surrounded by cornfields, prairie, and her father’s eccentric love for miniature animals. Santa brought her a piano at the age of two, and she has been playing ever since. She is classically trained as a soprano and has studied music theory and composition. She has a B.A. in Music, 2005, and is about to embark on the lucrative task of attaining an M.F.A. in creative writing. Red Flags (Deep Sea Productions, 2009) is her first full-length album.
