A theatrical and politically motivated album that is worthy of a standing ovation. Austin, Texas based electro/gothic performance band, Lucid Dementia have released their strongest work to date, Trickery. Incorporating an incredibly distinctive and almost childlike element in their music, Lucid Dementia's work has a sort of sing-along feel, but with a very dark edge. Very easy to remember rhyming lyrics run throughout the album and at times feel like they belong to campfire songs for the Goth Scouts or to some really bizarre nursery rhymes. This style is all the more unique and interesting when the subject matter of many of the songs is sociopolitical commentary, harshly casting a spotlight on subjects such as religion, the war, and the faults of society in general. Using a combination of raspy male vocals and sweet, almost juvenile, female vocals, the two styles play off of each other quite well and give the music a wonderfully manic feel. With electronic and gothic soundscapes that seem perfectly tailored to the various vocal styles, Lucid Dementia is best described as a less "funk" influenced "A Daisy Chain 4 Satan" era My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult.

Trickery (Buried Productions) Comforting to know that Sheldon Reynolds' veteran industrigoth freak out remains committed to peeling the tatty fishnets off of bad, black reality and administering a sonic cat-o'-nine-tails to the post-millennial American blood-farce. Trickery, cranked up to 11, nearly nails the locals' live weaponized-puppetry theatrics and throbs with enough rusty iron hooks to sate even Uncle Frank's Cenobite fetish. Opener "Pie" sets a frantic pace, with Lord Byron Payne's paint-stripper guitar coiling around the thrusting, tribal percussives of Azil X, but it's Reynolds' trademark creep-shriek that scuttles inside your head and deposits its hatchery of nightmare-peeps egglets there. Uptempo shout-along "WTF" captures the zeitgeist and then paddles it pink and raw, while "Deadly Sally" nicks a page from Tim Burton. Pessimistic misfits to their core, Austin's Lucid Dementia derail the "Lies" that have resulted in "Billions for the War" with spiky sweet, perpetually pissy graveside panache. Dig in.

Hailing from Texas, this American band saw the daylight in 1996. They�ve been inspired (and still are) by a wide spectrum of styles and influences, moving from punk to electro to rock to techno. Just imagine a band, which tries to merge all these influences together. The result is simply surprising, but not always that efficient. It all sounds like some influences can�t be mixed together! When I hear some techno beats recovered with heavy guitar blasts and their childish way of singing, it all feels like surrealistic. I�m not saying that everything is bad and wrong, but I personally think that they better can work out a few influences that fit together than exploring and mixing everything what�s running through their mind. I for sure like a song like �Controlled�, because of its homogeneous writing. There�s a kind of orchestral tune in the chorus, which has been guided by carrying vocal parts and intrinsic guitar riffs. You can always discuss about a style, but this song works. The �Evil�s garden� is another example of a more adequate composition. It�s a low tempo, moody piece of music. I just regret, again... the kind of childish way of singing. I can�t understand why to sing this way, but it�s just another part of this crazy project. LD all sounds like a melting pot of ideas and influences so it�s up to you to find out your favorites! Just imagine to create a hybrid between Alien Sex Fiend and The Muppets

We will need 2 mics for the 1 Guitar amp and 1 Bass amp(or XLR for Bass Amp Direct out).
4 XLR cables to go out from our system to your PA.
The venue provides the PA.
