Michele Jusko's passion for singing and songwriting started at the ripe old age of seven, in a little apartment in Queens, New York, when she wrote her first original song "Another Peanut Butter Love Song." Michele's adoration for peanut butter was poetically expressed in her first tune. It's as if another John Lennon or Joni Mitchell was born. There's an interesting story behind Michele's inspiration to pursue her love of music as a career. Michele was adopted as a baby and her adoptive parents are wonderful people but don't have a musical bone in their bodies. Several years ago, Michele found her birth mother and discovered "music" was definitely in her DNA. Her mom was a singer, her biological father was a pianist and bass player and her maternal grandfather was a percussionist for the Boston Symphony for many years. Michele has recently released her debut full-length album "The Great Unknown" -- a unique collection of soulful, Pop/Rock and Adult Album Alternative songs with infectious melodies and thought provoking lyrics. Her songwriting reaches deep and engages listeners from all walks of life. Michele Jusko's music has already received critical acclaim from fans and industry supporters alike. Her song "Beautiful Neurosis" was featured in the CBS series "Shark" starring James Woods. Her song "Don't Run Away" will be on the new CW series "Blonde Charity Mafia." "Walk Away" a ballad she co-wrote with Damian Pierre was a runner-up in the John Lennon Songwriting contest and is in the indie film "Uncross the Stars" starring Barbara Hershey. In 2008, Michele was a featured artist on XM Satellite Radio's prestigious Radar Report and was the coveted "Staff Pick" out of thousands of unsigned artists for Clear Channel New Music. Michele’s pop ballad “Bare” was a finalist out of 15,000 entries in the 2009 Billboard World Song Contest.
