About the ArtistStart out somewhere in the Midwest, with a tank full of gas and a map in my hand" , a line from one of her songs, is exactly what she did. She packed everything in a car and moved from her home in Indiana to Tulsa in 2007. There she found a new place, new stage, new listeners, and most of all, a new voice.
Bartlett grew up in central Indiana, surrounded by all things rural. It may be hard to tell where it began, but something along the line sparked her curiosity to see more than what she had known. Maybe it was the old guitar in her grandparent's garage that was handed to her with three rusty, old strings.
Regardless, music is the vehicle that drives her to new things. This is reflected in much of her music. Travel is a theme in her writing and improvisational work.
Requires setup for 1-2 instruments and 1 vocal
