Collette is an R&B singer whose silky voice breezes over hard hitting beats... sometimes a gentle wind, other times a hurricane of soul. After an 'average band-geek' upbringing in South Carolina, and a 3-year stint singing background vocals in the Washington D.C. gogo music scene, Collette stepped into the solo spotlight.
The debut “Experience Collette” was independently released in 2008, featuring a sweet blend of Southern hip-hop and soul. The single 'You Don't Know' earned radio play across the world, and was featured on the Music Choice network. With rave reviews and a successful national promo tour under her belt, Collette's now hard at work on the 2nd release "Revolution," due out in Summer 2010.
Her biggest influences? Her gospel-singing mother, plus Bill Withers, Whitney Houston, Ella Fitzgerald and India Arie. Collette's taste is as broad as her sound. Her plans are as big as they come. And her time is right about now.
