  Nick Heward has written and performed hundreds of songs. His material is socially and politically conscious and his debut Album “Love Me Till I’m Home” was released in 2011 to outstanding critical acclaim. “Reminiscent of a young Jackson Browne…” – Dennis D’amico(Producer Paul Mccartney). Nick was honored with a trip to the 2009 Grammy awards by Studio1(Shelly Yakus, John Lennon, Tom Petty) for his performance of his song “Mary Jane.”   Nick’s career began in 2006 when he began performing in local Phoenix night clubs and venues doing shows alongside recording artists like Tristan Prettyman, Martin Sexton, and Nils Lofgren. He was born in Tulsa Oklahoma, migrated to Northern California, and landed in Phoenix AZ.   Nick studied the classical guitar in college under guitar Virtuosso DMA Chuck Hulihan(ASU) and continues to study with Professor Hulihan. He has worked as a guitarist/back up vocalist for 2009 Arizona Idol Kaitlin Jones, country singer Bree Anna Rothermel, RnB singer Giovanni Amato, Jazz singer Tim Doyle Jr. and others. In 2012 Nick Heward founded the 1st annual Phoenix Crying Hearts Festival in the center of the cities largest homeless population. The festival aims to bring hope through music and The Gospel to the homeless.This year Nick was chosen as the featured artist on “The Howling Coyote Tour” supporting Child Help August 2013.   Beyond his music, despite never playing basketball in High School or College, Nick trained privately for a year with professional basketball player(Israel, Mexico) Gerald Williams and played on a semi-professional team in 2011 alongside NCAA leading scorer 2003 Ruben Douglas(U of A, New Mexico). Nick continues to play basketball.   Nick is currently engaged to his manager the owner of Amanda Rae Management in Phoenix. He’s currently working with musician/producer Matthew Odmark of Jars of Clay and plans to record his next full length record in early 2014.
