Nicole Ready was born in Washington, DC to a very big music loving family. While growing up, Nicole can recall always hearing music being played or sung around the house. As Nicole began to grow and learn that her voice had that something special; she eventually decided to join her Jr high school choir and from there, her voice has been a singing instrument for those who wish for something different from the normal mainstream radio. In high school, Nicole excelled and even was able to direct the choir and give valuable input for shows and performances. She has taught vocal lessons to persons as young as 7 and as old as 26 years old. Nicole went to Morgan State University majoring in Voice with a Minor in Theatre for one year, until an illness with her Father; and studied under the late and great Dr. Carter. At Morgan State, Nicole was placed in Dr. Carter's personal performance group with-in the first few months of school. After leaving Morgan State, Ms. Ready set out to make singing and song writing a real reality for her, thus she started networking and connected with a few good producers who has gotten her to the point she's at today. Nicole states: "It has been and I know still will be a long and bumpy road, but I'm prepared and dedicated to producing songs that really have substance and can make you dance or really think about things". Ms. Ready has performed in talent show cases, open mic nights, private functions, weddings, funerals and so much more. She is currently collaborating to put her first CD together to be mastered for distribution; and of course, she understands that all takes time and money. Rest assured though, all of her songs are great and she is always looking for new producers and artists to work or collaborate with, in hopes of releasing her CD in 2009. Nicole Ready is the one to watch for, as her songs are very powerful and you will feel all of the emotion she puts in every word and every phrase.
