About the ArtistRaised throughout Europe, Oz undertook classical training in violin, piano and guitar at the tender age of 4 at the ECM Conservatory in Switzerland. He began performing with his rock band, “Ten Dollars Regular” as a teenager and the group launched by opening for Bush at the H20 festival in Istanbul, then performed at Reading, Roskiilde, Leeds, and other international music festivals.
When asked what inspired Oz to write the songs on Broken Pieces, he says, “I’ve been touring for the better part of twelve years now, and life on the road is an intense experience. These songs are all about the people I’ve met and the place I’ve been while playing my music. The album is extremely personal and meaningful to me, and I couldn’t be more excited to share it with a U.S. audience.”
